Planning Perspectives
For many years, my work has engaged with the history and theory of the land issues. Building on a DFG-funded conference, co-organized with Dasha Kuletskaya during our time at RWTH Aachen, a publication project took shape that has now culminated in the special issue Land Matters: Planning Histories of Value, Use and Property. Together with Dasha Kuletskaya and Susanne Schindler, I had the honor to be a guest editor of this volume. Responding to an open call, the contributions assembled here interrogate the spatial consequences of land ownership, value, and use across a range of historical and contemporary contexts. Volume 40 brings together critical perspectives by Fabio Gigone, Emilie Ropert Dupont, Gabriel Schwake & Iris Burgers, Sanna Kattenbeck, Marianne Dhenin & Mohamed Gamal-Eldin, Alona Nitzan Shiftan & Cheyn Lambert, Marina Sapunova, Nicolay Duque-Robayo, Ricardo Avella, Francisco Díaz, and Lasse Rau.
